Since successfully raising over £350,000 to buy the property, York Supplies Community Cooperative are looking to get started with their takeover. That’s why they now need a shop manager to run the shop 48 hours per week. This could be either one full-time and one part-time employee, or two sharing the role.
They are looking for someone with previous retail experience and commercial knowhow to run the shop, working alongside a full time employee focused on the plant side of the business and casual staff. Applicants should be able to advise customers on DIY issues, and provide services such as key cutting, glass cutting, sharpening and repairs. Previous retail experience is required, experience in a managerial/supervisory role not essential but preferred.
