Art Market | Thursday 2nd March | Black Market Barber Company | York Road

An exciting new series of collaborations with local artists is coming to Black Market Barber Company! Each month, they’ll be featuring the work of a different local artist in the shop, and first up is incorrigible skate troubadour Simon Peplow and his brand spanking new show ‘BIRTHDAY SUIT’. Oxfam Bookshop | High Street

It’s World Book Week and Fairtrade Fortnight, so tick two boxes in one with a trip to Oxfam Bookshop! The aptly named Divine Chocolate is 20% off in store for the first two weeks of March (that means we can buy more, right?) and there are enough books to keep you entertained for the whole month! A Casa A New Italian Pop Up | 30th March – 1st April | Kitchen Garden Cafe | York Road

An evening of authentic Southern Italian flavours, aromas and warm hospitality, as you sample dishes passed down through generations, featuring fresh, seasonal Mediterranean ingredients. The evening will include a delicious 4 course menu with options for carnivores, seafood lovers and vegetarians plus a welcome aperitivo, chef’s tasters and a chance to try the best Puglian wines. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with live music from the toe-tapping Rhino and the Ranters! Following their incredible performance at last year’s Kings Heath Street Fest, they’re back with support from Independent Country and High Horses, plus Dig Your Wigs DJ sets. Devon Sproule | Sunday 26th March | Kitchen Garden Cafe | York Road

Hailing from Canada and America, Devon Sproule’s music welcomes the magical and the tangible. It celebrates human complication in the language of nature, and is described North American music with weirdo roots. Devon has been married to producer Paul Curreri for 11 years, and Sproule’s recordings have been released by Tin Angel Records, based in Coventry, England since 2007. The Gold String by Devon Sproule will be released on Tin Angel Records in spring 2017. Tickets are £12. Find out more here.
