SURPRISE! I bet you didn’t expect to see Capture Kings Heath return so soon? The Spring 2021 edition of our photography competition was so popular that we decided to do it all again for Summer, just in time for the end of COVID restrictions.
This time, we’re inviting you to snap up Summer! We all know how unpredictable the British weather can be, so make the most of the sunshine and the clear skies while you can. It’s time to grab your friends, grab your smartphones and your cameras and show us your best lens action.
Our 6th year of capturing the very best of the beauty that Kings Heath has to offer is proving to be our most exciting yet, and we can’t wait until your images start pouring in and brightening up our inbox once again. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or a talented novice, show us what you love about summertime here in Kings Heath! Think about freedom and growth after such a tumultuous year. Think about joy and exuberance in light of the longer, brighter days. What comes to mind when you think of Summer?
You’ve got exactly 6 weeks to email your entries to kingsheath@tigerbam.co.uk as the competition closes at midday on Wednesday 1st September. Don’t just stop at 1 entry either, submit as many photographs as you like to boost your chances of taking home this season’s grand prize. Like in previous years, our expert judging panel will select a winner of their own before the rest of the entries are put to a week-long Facebook vote to determine your winner.
Both winners will receive a generous cash prize of up to £200 and their photographs will be seen by thousands of people! If it’s inspiration you’re after, look no further than our Facebook, where albums full of past entries from the last 6 years can be found.
Please note, Kings Heath BID may use photographs entered into the competition in the future (you might recognise some images on our website and in the Enjoy Kings Heath Magazine!) but if you would like to opt-out, simply let us know when they are submitted. Do also be mindful of social distancing and COVID guidelines when you’re out and about taking photographs. Finally, make sure you get permission from anybody that appears in your images!
