Saturday 20th March marks the official first day of Spring, so what better time to bring back our much-loved Capture Kings Heath photography competition for a Spring 2021 instalment!
It’s our 6th year of snapping the very best of the beauty that Kings Heath has to offer, and we can’t wait until your images start pouring in and brightening up our inbox once again. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or a talented novice, grab your smartphones and your cameras and show us what you love about springtime here in Kings Heath! Think about new beginnings and a fresh start for our community as lockdown starts to ease and the brighter days ignite positivity and hope.
You’ve got exactly 6 weeks to email your entries to kingsheath@tigerbam.co.uk as the competition closes at midday on Saturday 1st May. Don’t just stop at 1 entry either, submit as many photographs as you like to boost your chances of taking home this year’s grand prize. Like in previous years, our expert judging panel will select a winner of their own before the rest of the entries are put to a week-long Facebook vote to determine your winner.
Both winners will receive a generous cash prize of up to £200 (our biggest prize to date!) and their photographs will be seen by thousands of people! NEW for this year, we’re looking to host the top 30 images in a mini photography exhibition in the heart of Kings Heath – stay tuned for more information about this very soon. If it’s inspiration you’re after, look no further than our Facebook, where albums full of past entries from the last 5 years can be found.
Please note, Kings Heath BID may use photographs entered into the competition in the future (you might recognise some images on our website and in the Enjoy Kings Heath Magazine!) but if you would like to opt-out, simply let us know when they are submitted. Do also be mindful of social distancing and COVID guidelines when you’re out and about taking photographs. Finally, make sure you get permission from anybody that appears in your images!
