The first Saturday of the month means only one thing here in the Heath – it’s the farmers’ market! Charity Beer Festival | Kings Heath Cricket Club | 5-11pm and 12-11pm

We hope you’re thirsty…the annual Charity Beer Festival is back! Organised by Moseley Round Table to raise money for a variety of local charities, there will be over 40 cask ales and 20 ciders for you to work your way through! Challenge accepted? Throughout the weekend, there will be live music from some of the best local artists, including The Lost Notes and The Heels, as well as live 6 Nations games on the big screens for all you rugby fans. Beatles All You Need Is Love Fest | Fletchers Bar | York Road | 3pm

Love is in the air in Kings Heath this weekend! Yep, it’s the weekend before Valentine’s Day, and Kings Heath Walk of Fame are proving that once again all you need is love…and an afternoon of good music! Whether you’re bringing your special someone or are celebrating single life, mark the the Beatles’ Birmingham debut at the iconic (and now sadly burnt down) Ritz Ballroom with some of Birmingham’s best musicians playing their favourite Beatles tracks. Saturday 18th February//

Eat & Greet | Kings Heath Action for Refugees | New Life Baptist Church | 12pm-5pm

Following the huge success of the last KHAR charity Eat & Greet, they’re doing it all over again with a whole afternoon of activity lined up! They’re teaming up with Peel and Stone and the Real Junk Food Project to rustle up a delicious lunch, with live performances from a whole host of talented musicians to entertain you whilst you feast. There’ll also be packed lunches, crafts and storytelling for children, the community project The Big Sew will also be there making toys for vulnerable children if, AND there is the opportunity to sign up to one of their action sessions. Tickets are £5, and you can also buy a ticket for a refugee living in the city. All money raised will go to Aegean Solidarity Network. For more information, click here.

Saturday 25th February//

Kevin Rowland with Atlantic Players Live | Hare & Hounds | High Street | 9pm

We don’t know if you’ve heard but this year the Hare is celebrating its 10th Anniversary! And of course, they’re putting on a whole year’s worth of gigs and nights to mark the occasion! This Saturday, we welcome Kevin Rowland (Dexy’s Midnight Runners) for a special DJ set, with live performances from The Atlantic Players. Tickets £12.50 or £10 with an Independent Birmingham card, available here.
