Kings Heath Dining Club | Sunday 9th April | York Road | 11am-7pm

Kings Heath Dining Club is back for the first street closure of the year! Hare and Hounds and Digbeth Dining Club have joined forces once again to bring us a whole day of street food, market stalls provided by Digbeth Arts Market, and resident DJs from Leftfoot and DDC! Cooking up a street food feast for us on the day will be some of Brum’s finest street food traders including Baked in Brick, Buddha Belly, the English Indian, the Meat Shack, Bournville Waffle Company, and more. We hope you’re hungry! Not only does this month see the return of York Road’s Kings Heath Dining Club, but the return of the Village Square’s monthly street food market, too! Sponsored by Birmingham Brewing Company and organised by Beyond Radical Events, the street food feast taking place on the second saturday of every month will return with grub from the likes of Baked in Brick, Buddha Belly, and many more. The Great Kings Heath Easter Egg Hunt | 8th-24th April

The Great Kings Heath Easter Egg Hunt is BACK! The Easter Bunny has been busy hiding 20 Easter Eggs decorated by local school children in shops and cafes. Can you find them all? Simply pick up a trail map from Togademus, I Had One Of Those or Kings Heath Library from 8th April, and get hunting! Once you have recorded all of the number, return your trail map and you could be in with a chance of winning some chocolatey prizes courtesy of William H Painter! The Great Kings Heath Easter Egg Hunt will run over the Easter holidays from 8th-24th April. More info coming soon!

Kick off the month with live music from some of the finest female musicians and muso’s in the area! They’ll be performing an eclectic mix of tunes to ease us into April and the new working week, and entry is free! The musical merriment starts at 8pm.

Open Mic Night | Black Lab | Thursday 6th April | High Street

There’s a brand new night of live music coming to Kings Heath this month! Owen de Visser’s new monthly open mic night at Black Lab launches on Thursday 6th April at 8pm, so if you fancy taking to the stage to perform, simply turn up and register, or sit back and enjoy the music with a cocktail or two! Brummie brass band Young Pilgrims are back, teaming up with Town Hall Symphony Hall’s Jazzlines, to bring us some of the country’s most exciting and creative bands in their monthly instalment of music shenanigans! This Is England Official Club Night | Hare and Hounds | Sunday 16th April | High Street

It’s a Bank Holiday weekend so there’s no excuse to miss this one! As part of the Hare’s 10th Anniversary celebrations, they’re hosting the official This Is England club night with Shaun and Gadget themselves! The Songs of Leonard Cohen | Kitchen Garden Cafe | Wednesday 26th April | York Road

Round off the month with the music of a great brought to back to life! Keith James will perform the songs of the legendary Leonard Cohen in the intimate setting of Kitchen Garden Cafe, playing all of his classics like Hallelujah and Suzanne, and Famous Blue Raincoat. Tickets £10 available here.
