We’d like to say a warm welcome to Kings Heath’s latest arrival – The Juke! A brand new bar and eatery with a twist, opening on York Road later this month.
On Friday 27th The Juke will open their doors as Kings Heath’s newest residents. This hub of great food, drink & music will take over the location of the former Cherry Reds on York Road. It will have an open kitchen with rotating residents, kicking off with Birmingham favourites, the fantastic Pietanic.
What makes The Juke bar particularly special is the rare Rock-ola Regis 120 Jukebox taking pride of place in the venue. Having spent over 30 years popping up at bars across the Chicago tri-state area, it’s hoped that some of the magic gleaned from these American bars will translate over to the Juke. Expect lesser known tracks from the 50’s, 60’s & 70’s, gems from international performers, modern artists, and also some well-known and loved local heroes.
Alongside the music, you can expect an eclectic yet inclusive range of drinks. From Birmingham’s emerging breweries to fair trade coffee and organic spirits, The Juke’s aim is to be proud of everything they offer. With the option to drink in or take away, and well-stocked fridges with a selection of the best craft beer and ale, as well as 7 taps which will host a variety of carefully selected craft beers and ciders from the UK and further afield.
The Juke will be hosting events regularly, ranging from tap takeovers, listening parties, intimate live performances and much more. You can also look forward to the first kitchen residents Pietanic’s delicious dishes such as the Bacon Cheeseburger pie and the Chicken Balti pie served from 12-9pm.
