What’s On This September in Kings Heath?

There’s always something going on in and around Kings Heath every month of the year and September is no different. Don’t let the inevitable weather slump stop you from enjoying all the great events happening in Kings Heath this month. Party at The Hare & Hounds //

From disco to rock, soul to edm, rap to acoustic, music is the heart and soul of Hare & Hounds and throughout this month there are many amazing acts performing which we know you’ll love. This month H&H plays host to acts such as; Misfires and De’Nova (16th Sep), Endeavour Futumche and The Real Detonators (7th Sep), Ruts DC (8th Sep), The Buttertones (12th Sep) and many more to suit all tastes and genre. Hop On Your Bike at Gorilla Coffee Café //

The cycle fanatics at Gorilla Coffee Café are always up for a ride around town, but sometimes they push themselves much further than just Kings Heath. If you’re bike mad too then saddle up, because from the 7th to the 11th of September GCC and guests take to the road as they cycle from London to Paris. Grab a Drink at Madcup //

This September the good folks at Madcup Café are running an amazing competition to win a £20 gift voucher to use in store. Young Culture at The Station //

On the 8th of this month Young Culture will be bringing their unique sound to The Station. Mario’s Jerk Drum will also be attending the event to bring the flavours of the Caribbean with Young Culture providing the sound. It’s a night that’s definitely one you won’t want to miss so head down to The Station from 9PM onwards this Friday. Entry is free and any other infomation can be found here.

Get Crafty at The Village Square //

Why not take the little one’s out for a fun filled day of arts and crafts at Kings Heath Village Square’s monthly Arts and Crafts Market. On the 16th of September all day there will be arts and crafts activities as well as antiques stalls all around the village square. Find out more about the event here.

Live Performances at Kitchen Garden Café //

There’s plenty happening this month at the Kitchen Garden Café, obviously great food and drink is a given but there’s also plenty of amazing live music too. With performances from Pons Aelius on Tuesday the 12th, Peter Bruntnell on Thursday the 14th and Wednesday the 20th sees the start of Kitchen Garden Café’s Autumn Season with a live storytelling performance from Polly Tisdale and Siphai Thammavong.

Feel The Music at Fletchers Bar //

Get rocking and celebrate the 54th anniversary of The Rolling Stones first performance in Birmingham at Fletchers Bar on York Road this September. On Sunday  24th there will be performances from local musicians such as The Eggmen, Acoustica, Ant’s Cover Up and many more to set the tone for a reminiscent evening of live music all in the spirit of The Stones and their first Birmingham show. Not only that, but on September 10th Fletchers bar will also be playing host to the ‘September Music Fest.’ A full day of live music, featuring acts such as Rainy Day Woman, Matilda Platt, The Lost Notes and more. There will also be street food and a great family vibe, so be sure to head to York Road this Sunday if you can’t wait for the Stones anniversary show on the 24th.
