Fall For Kings Heath!

Our Autumn Trail is up and running until the 10th of November. The Fall for Kings Heath trail invites children to get out and about in Kings Heath to find 15 missing leaves that have been scattered all around local businesses! To take part just pick up a trail from The Kings Heath Library and get hunting. Once you’ve found all the leaves you can return your form back to the library and you could be in with a chance of winning some PRIZES!

Firework Extravaganza!

We are kicking off November in Kings Heath with a BANG! Sunday 4th November the Firework Extravaganza is at the Kings Heath cricket and sports club. Starting at 4:30 PM it’s a great way to celebrate bonfire night whether you’re looking for a fun-filled evening with the family or a wine-filled evening with friends both are covered! Expect music, a fun fair, food and drink stalls and of course, fireworks!

Christmas Craft Fair!

Get into the festive spirit with Highbury Hall’s Christmas Craft Fair on the 24th and 25th November! Starting at 11 AM until 5 PM it’s a great place to get your stocking fillers and customised gifts for all the family. There will also be Mulled wine, mince pies, hot pork and stuffing baps to keep you nice and snug! £1 entry on the door

Bring Home Our Local Fallen!

Learn about 31 of our local heroes of WWI in an evening of remembrance and celebration at the Bishop Challoner Catholic College Teaching School. On the 7th and 8th of November from 5 PM until 7 PM, there will be some beautiful speeches, videos, artwork, literature, and poetry put together by the local students to honor the fallen soldiers. Everyone is welcome to celebrate and remember!

Yoga!

Improve your, strength, flexibility and balance with a relaxing, gentle flow yoga class at the New Life Baptist Church, every Wednesday at 10:45 AM. Run by Harriet Elizabeth who is qualified in many different types of yoga and runs a friendly style of teaching to help her students to connect with their body, mind, and soul. Farmers Market

The monthly farmers market is back on November 3rd at the All Saints Village Square. There are a variety of stalls including the freshest of vegetables, fish & meat, homemade bread, cakes & pies, cheeses, herbs, tea & Coffee, and much more! Head down from 9 AM to 2 PM to get your local produce!

Drum Together Brum

Kings Heath offers African drumming workshops with Drum Together Brum! Starting at The British Legion (Station Road) every week on Wednesday from 7 PM – 8:30 PM (location may differ between The British Legion and The Station). Everyone one is welcome and all instruments are supplied! Each session is just £6 per person and you can discover the traditional and contemporary Rhythms of African culture!

Black Lab’s Beer

As the cocktail season is over let’s turn to Black Lab for a perfect pint, they have recently added a range of home 2.0 craft beers to their menu that you simply MUST try. Their unique beers are brewed in the legendary brewing town of Pasvalys in the Lithuanian highland. The good folk at Black Lab say ‘The craftsmen behind these unique beers are the fourth-generation descendants of the renowned family of brewers. Keeping true to the age-old brewing traditions.’ Sounds good to us!

Rock ‘n’ Roll!

Fletchers are hosting the Out Of The Shadows Rock ‘n’ Roll Show! Starting at 3PM on Sunday 11th November, the 3 hours performance will show you an selection of classic hits such as Eddie Cochran’s “Summertime Blues”, Cliff Richard’s “I Could Easily Fall In Love With You’ and Dire Straits’ “Walk Of Life” along with ith some instrumental tunes to complete the evening. Tickets are available for £4 from The Kitchen Garden Cafe website or pay £5 on the door.

The world-renowned musician and singer Clive Gregson is putting on a solo show at our very own Kitchen Garden Cafe at 8 PM on the 11th of November, it’s definitely worth checking out as The Independent states ‘…he does the lot.’ Tickets available here!

Ruth Trimble is a young singer-songwriter from Nothern Island and in support of releasing her 3rd album names ‘Before The Rain’ she is putting on a solo concert at The Kitchen Garden Cafe on Thursday 29th of November, doors open at 7:30 and tickets are available from the website.

Back 2 The Old School!

It’s all going on at the Hare and Hounds on Saturday 17th November! They’re taking it back to the good ol‘ days with the Back 2 The Old School night. Playing the best of the 90s/00s R&B classics, you’ll be dancing the night away from 10:30 pm until 3 am and to top it off it’s free entry!

Wait there’s more…

Hare and Hounds are also putting on a night filled with disco and pop! On Friday 23rd of November, Vice city presents ABBA night with all the trimmings! There will be all ABBA’s best tunes along with classics from the fabulous era! Doors open from 9 PM until 3 AM, get your tickets online here!

Clear your calendar for Thursday the 15th of November!
