We’re delighted to announce that the first ever Kings Heath Poetry Slam will be taking place this June! We’ve joined forces with Twisted Tongues, a Derby-based poetry collective that specialises in open mic events for spoken word artists, to bring the first ever Poetry Slam Competition to Kings Heath this Summer.
The Poetry Slam Competition will kick off at 7:30 PM on June 18th at The Station Pub (7 High Street, Kings Heath, B14 7BB) and will see performers battle it out over several rounds to win a cash prize.
The Kings Heath BID invited hopeful participants to register their interest in April, and this will be the first time that the spoken word artists have battled it out – expect to see poets, writers, rappers, MCS and spoken word artists of all abilities, from Birmingham and beyond!
