Get creative with the Kings Heath BID

We’re running a freaky fun activity across Kings Heath in the spirit of Halloween for your little monsters to get involved in. Using the mask templates which can be found in local businesses around Kings Heath help your little zombies and fairies get creepy and creative in designing the best Halloween mask they can! It’s a great way to keep them occupied and it’s all in the spirit of Halloween. We have creation stations at the following businesses; Loco Lounge, The Station, Nail Nation (whilst Mom gets her nails done), Kitchen Garden Cafe and Kings Heath Library and the masks are also available for collection to decorate at home at; Spectacle Emporium, I Had One Of Those, All Saints Welcome Centre (Up till 3pm), Simply Chic and CooShoo.

Escape to Planet V at Hare & Hounds

Are you ready for an adrenaline fuelled evening of Drum n Bass and Jungle tunes? On Friday 27th Hare & Hounds will be hosting a party to last into the depths of the night. ‘Planet V – Halloween’ will feature sets from Artificial Intelligence, Escape, Bryan Gee and DJ Patife that are sure to send shivers of rhythm down your spine and get you dancing. Get dressed up at Brian’s Juice & Bites

Have you got the scariest zombie look, the prettiest mermaid outfit, the most realistic werewolf costume. If you’ve got faith your Halloween costume will out-do any competition then we have the perfect contest for you. On Saturday 28th of this month the good people at Brian’s Juice & Bites are hosting a Halloween fancy dress party for all ages featuring a best dressed competition. There will be two competitions; one for the best dressed kid with a max age of 15 and another for the best dressed adult. The kids competition and disco will run from 6pm until 8pm with the adults competition starting at 9:30pm, judging at 10:30pm and then a disco till the early hours, free entry for all. Get giving at Kings Heath’s Charity Shops

Whilst there are plenty of amazing places to find the perfect outfits this Halloween why not give something back whilst on the hunt for that spooky look. Head down to one of any number of Kings Heath’s charity shops and pick up something to spruce your look up. If you happen to have any unwanted clothes or accessories that you’re planning on throwing away, why not give them to a charity shop? You never know, you could pick up the finishing touches to the perfect zombie, alien or vampire costume. There are plenty of charity shops in Kings Heath from British Heart Foundation, to Barnardo’s, to British Red Cross so head down to one this Halloween and see what surprised they’ve got in store.

Party into the night at The Station

On Friday 27th October the monsters are out at The Station for a night of terrifying tunes, delicious deals and freaktastic fancy dress. Head down from 9pm for a great ghostly atmosphere and a truly scarily special night. There are prizes for the best dressed so make sure you go the extra mile to look as scary as you can and if it comes down to a catwalk showdown remember to ‘creep’ it real. Get a sweet surprise at I Had One of Those

Halloween isn’t complete without a good old trick or treat. However sometimes the hunt for sweets doesn’t go to plan and rather than coming back with a bucket full of treats you end up with a handful of chocolate buttons and a few carrot sticks. Make sure you stock up on all your favourite sweet treats from I Had One of Those to keep your little pirates and mermaids satisfied this Halloween. Now, not only is I Had One of Those your prime place for scary sweets they’re also getting right into the Halloween spirit in store! On Saturday 28th of October from 5:30pm till late you can get involved in plenty of gruesome games. Anyone who’s dressed up on arrival will get some sweet treats, then to get you in the Halloween mood I Had One Of Those is hosting; a ghoulish lucky dip, apple bobbing, cauldron of truth and zombie body. Oh, did we mention there’s Toffee Apples, yep, you heard us right… Toffee Apples. Try Madcup’s Spooktacular Themed Items

The guys and girls at Madcup are getting into the spooky spirit this Halloween with the release of their limited time only ‘Red Web Latte.’ The caffeine free red tea latte has a hint of spiced apple and cinnamon and is topped with a chocolate cobweb design and mint leaves. Madcup are also selling their ‘Spooky Sticky Orange and Chocolate Cake’ for a limited time only. Make sure you head down and try these amazing Halloween themed drinks before they disappear into the night. Circus Mash’s Spookeasy 

Get ready for a frightful night packed with terrifying performances, best outfit competitions, witches broth and much more at Circus Mash. The dance is the perfect place to meet, mingle and dance with plenty of other ghost and ghouls. The event also features a Halloween dance lesson earlier on in the evening. The event takes place on Saturday 28th October with the Halloween themed dance class from 7pm till 8pm and Spookeasy event starting at 8pm till 11pm. Tickets are £8 for just the Spookeasy and £10 for the dance class and Spookeasy. Get Monster Mashing at Cherry Reds

There are plenty of ghostly get-togethers happening this Halloween around Kings Heath and the good people at Cherry Reds aren’t missing out. Raid your wardrobe, find your best Halloween costume and visit them on York Road on Saturday 21st of October from 8pm for some spooky songs and terrifically terrible treats.
