Bike Pro Racing is a small family business run by staff that are highly passionate about cycling. We ride bmx, mountain bike and road bikes and understand what the different needs are. There is nothing more we enjoy than chatting about cycling and will offer advice and recommendations based on our experience.
A lot has changed in Kingsheath since 1992, when we first opened our store. Some traders have gone, and some are still doing business successfully on the High Street. The one thing that hasn’t changed is the variety of independent shops, and the support our local community has given over the years by shopping locally. Looking after your bike
We also have a fully equipped workshop where we can service, repair and rebuild bikes of all shapes and makes. Our highly trained, full-time mechanics are able to do any job from fitting a tube to completely rebuilding your bike. We also build, repair and respray frames with a finish that is second to none.
We always listen to our customers’ needs and try to stock as much variety of parts and accessories as possible.
Junior Bikes
One example of this is our range of Frog kids bikes. We were asked for lightweight kids bikes as the general offerings from the chain stores were just too heavy and tiresome for children to ride for any period of time.
The feedback we get from parents is that a lightweight bike encourages the children to ride for longer and makes family rides a lot more enjoyable.
Toddlers can start off on a Frog tadpole balance bike. This bike has no pedals so a child can scoot on it. Unlike other balance bikes, this does come with a brake so your child can stop safely, and saves their shoes too. The kids love these as they are available in lots of colours. The bikes will last between 18 months and two years.
Part Exchange
We can take your Frog bike back in part exchange, and you will get 30 to 40% back on average.
We encourage you to bring the child in store with you, so they can sit on the bike and try it for size., and choose their colour. We have years of experience in fitting children on bikes, so you will get good honest advice on the best size that will last the maximum amount of time, before it will need replacing. Our prices are very competitive, so you won’t find these bike cheaper online.

Tax Free Bikes
We will also have power assisted electric bikes for demonstration, as more and more people are ditching their cars for greener forms of transport. Cycling to work improves your health and saves you a great amount of money.
Part of the Governments Green Transport Plan included the Cycle to Work Scheme. Cyclescheme enables employees to get bikes and accessories tax-free, saving on average about half the cost. Tax is complicated; the cycle to work scheme is not. You choose a bike, hire it for an agreed length of time, then snap it up for a fraction of its original value. More details on our website.
