10 Things To Do In Kings Heath This Summer

With summer in full swing sometimes it can be difficult to entertain the little ones when they’re bored. Kings Heath is buzzing with fun activities and events for all the family to get involved in. From mask making to cycling, picnics to badminton and even circus training. Kings Heath has something for everyone so here’s our list of 10 fun things to do and places to go in Kings Heath this summer!

Gorilla Coffee Cafe//

Coffee, Beer, Bicycles. Hop on your bike and join people of all ages and riding abilities outside GCC at 8:30am sharpish every Sunday for an informal bike ride. Also from August 19th till September 10th GCC will be screening ‘Vuelta a Espagna’ on their big screen. Or if bikes aren’t your cup of tea you can kick back and relax with a hot coffee, tasty tea or an ice cold beer.

Hickory Dickory’s//

When the summer weather takes a turn for the worst Hickory Dickory’s indoor adventure play centre is the answer. As well as having it’s own ‘Clock Cafe’ which sells a variety of drinks and snacks Hickory Dickory’s has a wide range of delicious and nutritious meals to chose from. Across August Hickory Dickory’s are running many fun activities for your little ones such as a treasure hunt around the play-frame on August 22nd and mask making on the 29th.

Why not treat the kids to a meal out at one of Kings Heath’s top restaurants, including; Pizza Hut, Papa Johns, Loco Lounge.

Here’s a sweet idea! Take a trip down memory lane and tickle your tastebuds at I Had One Of Those. This vintage sweet shop sells all kinds of treats that are bound to make mom and dad say ‘I had one of those!’ The perfect afternoon trip when you’re struggling with ideas to entertain the kids and energy levels are dwindling. 

Village Square//

On the 19th of August arts and crafts will be taking place all day! There will be live music from some of Kings Heaths best homegrown talent as well as antiques and toy stalls for all the family to enjoy. Make sure you have your dancing shoes on as every Monday throughout September, October and November ‘Move With Peppa’ will be happening at 9:30 in the morning.
